Coach Rahul Dravid came to the rescue of Suryakumar Yadav, he said, he is learning the game of 50 overs.

Indian star batsman Suryakumar Yadav is currently playing the ODI series which is being played against Australia. Surya has appeared as a bust in both matches of the series. In both games he left without opening the account on the first ball. Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc made him the victim on both occasions. Questions were raised about the poor performance of him in the ODI series. Meanwhile, India’s head coach Rahul Dravid came to his rescue. Dravid said that he is still learning the game of 50 overs.

After all kinds of questions were raised, Rahul Dravid came to the rescue of Suryakumar Yadav. On Tuesday, while speaking to a reporter, Dravid said: “I’m not worried about Surya. He came out with two good balls. One thing about Surya is that he is still learning the 50s game. T20 is a little different. He has played IPL for 10 years in T20. He has played a lot of T20. I have played many high pressure T20 games with him.

The head coach further said, “Although he has played a lot of T20 cricket, I think he has not played a lot of ODI cricket. We should give it some time and be patient. We definitely look good on it.”

Dravid recalled the team’s star hitter, Shreyas Iyer. Iyer was ruled out of the ODI series due to his back injury. Speaking of the batsman, he said: “Shreyas Iyer’s injury is unfortunate. He’s probably one of those players who bats at number 4 and spends a lot of time in that position. If you see, we’re stuck with people in position. A lot of T20 cricket was played for two years into this streak and we didn’t have much ODI cricket and if injuries happen, we have options.”
