Coach Bolz: Braga Women ‘On Right Track’ for European Cup Last 16

Sporting Braga’s women’s team is expressing high confidence in their current form and home advantage as they prepare for a decisive UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifier against Anderlecht, aiming to secure a spot in the round of 16.

Head coach Marwin Bolz stated the team is “on the right track” and believes they are “better, stronger, and more convinced of our processes” ahead of the second-leg match.

The Portuguese side hosts the Belgian club after a 1-1 draw in the first leg played in Belgium. Bolz emphasized the crucial role of public support at their home stadium.

He noted that a convincing 5-2 victory in a domestic league match over the weekend has bolstered the team’s energy and momentum.

Bolz acknowledged Anderlecht as a strong opponent but indicated Braga is prepared for any tactical changes and will adapt their playing style as needed. He added that the team’s idea of play is becoming clearer with each passing game.

Player Alícia Correia also voiced hope for progression, stating the team is aware of their performance in the first leg and aims to match that level in the upcoming encounter.
