CMTV just pulled off its best July ever, showing a remarkable 12.9% growth. It’s like winning a major championship. The channel grabbed 6.31% of the audience share. That means 137,360 people watched it every single minute of the day. Those are big numbers for any broadcaster.
This isn’t a new story, though. CMTV has been the top dog for 39 months straight. Think about that streak. They’ve led cable television for 768 days without a single break. It’s a run rarely seen in any competitive field.
What makes July’s performance even more impressive? CMTV brought in more viewers than all its cable rivals combined. Imagine one team outscoring three opponents at once. That’s the level of their success.
Let’s look at the scorecard for the others. CNN finished July with 2.55% of the share. SIC Notícias was close behind at 2.12%. RTP3 landed at 0.82%.
Add up those three competitors. CNN, SIC Notícias, and RTP3 together only reached 5.49%. CMTV, all by itself, hit 6.31%. That difference shows a clear winner in the ratings game.
Now, a quick note on where CMTV plays. You can find it on channel 8 across all cable TV platforms. But it’s not yet available on regular over-the-air digital television. It’s a field they haven’t entered yet.
These figures come from GFK. They’re the ones keeping track of the scores.
