‘Climate time bomb has started ticking’

New York: The United Nations Secretary General has warned that the time bomb of climate change has started ticking.

According to the details, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, has appealed to the United Nations to take measures in all fields against the increase in global temperature.

“The climate time bomb is ticking,” the Secretary-General said in a video message on Monday after the release of the latest report on climate change by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). It’s started ticking.”

He said that the rate of increase in temperature has been very high in the last fifty years, it is much higher than in the last 2 thousand years. “Carbon dioxide concentrations have reached their highest level in at least two million years,” he said.

Guterres said that the report means that extreme measures are needed to stop climate change, which requires efforts from every sector of every country to stop this change.
