Supermodel Cindy Crawford and her daughter, Kaia Gerber, marked a chic mother-daughter moment at the 2025 LACMA Art + Film Gala. The pair attended the annual Los Angeles County Museum of Art benefit on Saturday, November 1. Both women made elegant statements in shimmering Gucci dresses.
Crawford, 59, dazzled in a gold, off-the-shoulder gown. She accessorized with long matching earrings and a watch. Her signature brown hair flowed in loose waves.
Gerber, 24, opted for a striking red halter dress with a plunging neckline. She complemented her look with several neutral-toned rings and hair styled in similar waves to her mother.
Their joint appearance underscored a deep style connection between the two fashion icons. Kaia often looks to her mother for sartorial guidance.
“You probably inspire me more than I inspire you,” Kaia told Vogue in an April interview. She noted that her mother’s style has been “well-defined for quite some time.”
Kaia added, “The older I get, the more I enter your territory, which is classic.” She finds practicality in their resemblance for experimenting with looks. “If I want to know if a hairstyle or makeup will suit me, I look for photos of my mom.”
Cindy expressed joy when Kaia borrows items from her archived wardrobe. “If she wants to wear something I wore 30 years ago, what greater compliment could there be?” Crawford stated. She even mentioned her John Galliano wedding dress as a potential option for Kaia.
Despite this, Crawford wishes she had preserved more vintage pieces. She recalls disposing of many items when she was Kaia’s age, living in a small New York apartment. These included her first designer dress, a black Calvin Klein sheath worn to prom, and a black Mugler gown.
Kaia remains grateful for her mother’s influence beyond fashion. She credits Cindy’s work ethic and “academic mindset” as major inspirations.
For Crawford, family remains paramount. She values time spent with her adult children, Kaia and Presley, who both live in Los Angeles.
