Cibao FC signs Colombian striker Brayan Lucumí

Cibao FC announced the signing of Colombian striker Brayan Lucumí, who is already training with the team to play in the Liguilla, the second stage of the 2024 season of the Dominican Football League (LDF), which begins this weekend.

In addition to the Liguilla, La Fiebre Naranja reinforces its team with a view to its international commitments for the 2023 season of the North Central American and Caribbean Confederation (CONCACAF).

Lucumí’s main position is Right Midfield and secondarily he can act as Left Midfielder and Attacking Midfielder.

When approached after training today, the Colombian made a brief statement in which he said “I am very happy to come to this beautiful club that has opened its doors for me and I come to work, give my best, together with my teammates. and the coaching staff achieve the goal of being champion”.

And he sent a message to the fans of the Orange Fever “that they always accompany us, that we from the field think about giving our best, God bless you.”

Lucumí, nicknamed “Damiao”, will join fellow Colombians Juan David Díaz (forward) and defenders Dairín González and Julio Cesar Murillo who have been together since last year.

His career

Brayan is a native of Villa Rica, Colombia, he is 29 years old and is 5′ 7”. He has been a professional since February 14, 2013, when he debuted with Deportivo de Cali. In his country, he has also performed with Llaneros (2014), Real San Andrés (2015), Cúcuta Deportivo (2016).

In 2017 he had his first international foray when he was hired by the UANL Tigres of Mexican soccer, then he returned to Colombia to perform with Deportivo Pasto (2017-2018). In 2019 he joined Envigado FC and that same year with Cortuluá, until 2020.

He played the 2021-2022 season with Coritiba FC from Brazil and Portuguesa and in 2022-2023 he played with Portuguesa FC in the first division in Venezuela and Serra Branca from Brazil.
