The unprecedented event was achieved by Cibao FC in the 2017 CFU Club Championship, in Trinidad & Tobago, where they played four games, won two and drew two.
After the resounding victory and becoming champion of the Caribbean, Cibao FC reached the milestone of receiving the emblematic Chivas Rayadas club in Santiago at home and then they visited it in Guadalajara.
In 2020, Cibao FC qualified for the Concacaf League for the Club Championship, facing Alajuelense in Costa Rica.
This year they continued their journey gaining international experience and received the Motagua team from Honduras at their hometown of the Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, and then visited them in Tegucigalpa.
