AliExpress reports a successful start for Spanish sellers participating in the 11.11 Global Shopping Festival. Over 50 local sellers exceeded €10,000 in sales on the first day of the festival, which began on November 11.

During the promotional period, Spanish consumers favored categories such as consumer electronics, local foods, home and garden items, and toys, taking advantage of some of the year’s best offers.

Growing Preference for Local Products

Initial data from AliExpress indicates that local products experienced a significant surge in popularity during the 11.11 sales, with their Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) increasing five-fold compared to the previous month. This trend reflects the growing preference among Spanish buyers to support domestic sellers while benefiting from competitive prices and fast deliveries.

Data analysis from the 11.11 Global Shopping Festival in Spain reveals an interesting trend: Spaniards are using discounts to prepare for Christmas by purchasing products and gifts for the holiday season.

Since November, over 2,000 Christmas trees have been sold on AliExpress, ranging from 150 cm to 210 cm in height. This volume of trees stacked together would be equivalent to the height of Teide.
