Chris Paul graduates in communication at WSSU

Chris Paul, point guard for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA, graduated this Friday in communication from Winston Salem State University (WSSU), in North Carolina (USA).

Just hours after recording a double double of fifteen points and thirteen assists in the Suns’ victory against the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul went to the University of Winston Salem for the graduation ceremony, reported the WSSU.

Paul, 37, expressed his happiness at being able to personally participate in the ceremony and take a few hours off during the intense NBA season.

“Being here makes me very happy. There are many things that we do every day being athletes and playing many games, but sometimes you just want to be normal and do what everyone else does,” said Paul.

A Winston Salem native, Paul won two Olympic gold medals with the US national team, was Rookie of the Year in 2006 and was a twelve-time All-Star selection. He played for New Orleans, Clippers, Houston, Oklahoma City, and Phoenix.
