Chris Evans dreams of playing in a Star Wars

Although his new film Buzz Lightning just premiered, the next franchise in which Chris Evans really wish to appear is Star Wars. Telling the story of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired Toy Story’s toy, Buzz Lightning sees Chris Evans take over the voice of Tim Allenwho until now gave the voice of the space ranger in the previous opuses of Toy Story.

Chris Evans took on the role of Buzz Lightning after having embodied for almost ten years Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was his stint in the Marvel franchise as Steve Rogers that elevated him to the world’s most recognizable actor with a household name in the Hollywood industry. After his last appearance in Avengers: Endgamethe actor has expanded his catalog of projects outside of the superhero genre, starring in the critically acclaimed film Knives Out, and the miniseries Defend Jacob ofAppleTV+. He now tells us how he hopes to one day see his career take the galactic path of Star Wars.

After holding starring roles in two of Disney’s largest divisions, Marvel and Pixar, Chris Evans has opened up about which franchise he wants to join next. In an interview with MTV News following the premiere of Buzz Lightning, Chris Evans said he would love to join Star Warswhatever role he might play in it:

“Yeah, why is there no Star Wars?” My God, I would love to be in Star Wars! I mean I would do anything. Even if I was just a stormtrooper, I’d be happy… Yeah, I’d take a Wookie, that’s okay. Just put me in. I will do it. I’ll take it. »
