Chris Duarte will not accompany the Dominican Republic in the World Cup

Chris Duarte confirmed that he will not be with the Dominican team that will participate in the next Basketball World Cup.

Duarte made his decision known in a message posted on his Instagram account.

The player, who is in his third season in NBA basketball, He asked for understanding for his absence.

Duarte will be in his first season with the Sacramento Kings, a team to which he was traded from the Indiana Pacers who selected him seventh in the 2021 draft.

The Dominican Republic was placed in Group A along with Italy, the Philippines and Angola. The World Cup will have the participation of 32 teams and will begin on August 25.
