Chosen has signed three free agent pitchers this offseason

During the offseason, the Lions of the Chosen have signed a total of three free agent pitchers, according to information provided by the Operations department of the scarlet team.

One of them is the right-hander Williams Ramírez, who is participating with the Staten Island FerryHawks, where in 8.2 scoreless innings he has barely allowed 3 hits and has struck out 13.

Previously, Ramírez, 29, pitched with the Águilas Cibaeñas and with the Estrellas Orientales between the 2018-19 and 2020-21 tournaments, accumulating a 2.70 earned run percentage and 29 strikeouts in 20.0 innings.

Sandro Cabrera was also recently signed by the Lions. In the Dominican league he briefly participated with the Tigres del Licey in the 2019-20 season.

The 27-year-old left-hander starts games in the Frontier League with the Washington WildThings, where he is 2-1 with a 3.48 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 31.0 innings that includes 27 strikeouts.

After concluding the last Caribbean Series, the Chosen One agreed with the right-hander Fernando Pérez, who, pitching for Colombia, shone in that event with 5.1 innings of 4 hits, 1 run, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts against the Dominican champions Gigantes del Cibao in the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium.
