The highly anticipated sequel to the 1990 Telugu fantasy film “Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari” is generating buzz, and superstar Chiranjeevi is at the center of it all. In a recent interview, the megastar expressed his enthusiasm for the potential sequel, suggesting that his son Ram Charan would be the perfect lead alongside Janhvi Kapoor.
Ram Charan’s Connection to the Original
The younger Charan has already shown his appreciation for the original film by participating in its re-release celebration. He reminisced about being fascinated by the song “Jay Chiranjeev Jagadeka Veera” as a child. When asked about the sequel, Ram Charan jokingly said that fans still wonder what happened to the ring and fish at the end of the movie. He even playfully asked director Nag Ashwin to provide some answers.
A Historic Project in the Making
Chiranjeevi envisioned the sequel as a historic project that should be produced by Ashwini Dutt’s daughters and directed by Nag Ashwin under the guidance of the original director, K. Raghavendra Rao. The story of “Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari” revolves around a man who finds a ring that grants immense power but is sought after by a goddess who wants it back.
