China has called on Thailand and Cambodia to exercise restraint and engage in bilateral dialogue to resolve their dispute, signaling Beijing’s intent to play a constructive role in regional stability.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian stated that Beijing, as a friend and neighbor to both nations, earnestly hopes they will move towards each other.
The objective is to utilize existing bilateral mechanisms effectively to find a solution acceptable to both sides, preventing any escalation of the situation.
Mr. Lin emphasized adherence to friendly consultations to achieve a resolution as quickly as possible.
China affirmed its commitment to continue playing a constructive role in de-escalating and resolving the situation through its own methods.
