Chilean deputy resigns after controversy over his racist and misogynistic statements

The elected deputy of the far-right Republican Party of Chile Johannes Kaiser has submitted his resignation after the controversy that arose after a series of misogynistic and racist statements that he launched through social networks.

"After a process of reflection and understanding that my sayings can harm our future, I have made the decision to leave the ranks of the Republican Party indeclinably", said Kaiser, a well-known ‘youtuber’, creator of the El Nacional-Libertario channel from which he launches all sorts of nonsense.

In a statement, Kaiser has said that it has made the decision voluntarily and has asked the more than 26,000 people who voted for it in the parliamentarians on November 21 to trust the party’s presidential candidate, José Antonio Kast, for the second round scheduled for December 19.

"He’s innocent of all the sayings I ever made", has stated a Kaiser, who even questioned the right of women to vote for electing those parties "they bring" those immigrants who, he says, then rape them.

"Women stop jogging to the park because they are afraid of immigrants who may rape them, but they continue to vote for the same parties that bring those people and you really wonder if the right to vote was a good idea.", said.

Among other of his barrabasadas are those that ridicule sexual assaults -"men who rape ugly women deserve a medal" or "Those feminists who now appear claiming to have been raped and that they did not denounce their attackers in time are accomplices"-, or those that celebrate the atrocities of the dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet, -"those people were well shot in Pisagua"-.

MEETING OF KAST WITH ITS PARLIAMENTARIANS

After this controversy, Kast has held a meeting with his parliamentarians to mark his line for the second round of the presidential elections, and has called them to order so that they take care of the forms before the December 19 appointment.

Thus, it has been aimed to be aware of not damaging the image of the candidate and avoid unnecessary controversy, as detailed by an attendee of the event on the television channel T13.

In the same way, it has been warned that those parliamentarians most exposed to the media will be tried to put in compromising situations and will seek, they say, statements that could damage Kast’s image.

The Republican Party has viewed with concern the controversy surrounding the figure of Kaiser and his statements and, according to the source consulted by the Chilean television network, the organizers would have asked him not to attend the meeting and that, after his resignation, keep a low profile on social media, away from the candidate.
