Chihuahua Vehicle Revalidation Deadline Approaches for 3000 Peso Discount

If you live in Chihuahua, you are likely aware that vehicular revalidation is a current issue. Making this mandatory payment can help you avoid many problems, most importantly, a fine of 3 thousand pesos if you pay before the deadline.

This tax procedure is mandatory for all registered cars and helps you comply with legal norms, allowing you to circulate freely on the roads. If you do it on time, you can save around 3 thousand pesos that you would have to pay without discounts. At least, this is the case while the vehicular revalidation at mid-price is approved.

Remember that not doing this process in a timely manner can lead to fines, surcharges, and legal problems, such as the possibility of retaining the vehicle due to lack of current documentation. This is why it is so important.

But how long do you have to make your payment with discounts? You have until April to do so, but keep in mind that the longer you wait, the greater the amount you will have to pay. The revalidation price depends on the year of your car, but the sooner you pay, the greater the discount the government will give you.

If you want to avoid paying 3 thousand pesos, the best option is to pay in February. If you pay in March or April, you will still get a discount, but it will be smaller.

The base cost for vehicular revalidation in 2025 is 2,649 pesos. However, discounts for early payment can reduce the final amount, depending on when the transaction is made and the auto model year.

There are different discounts available depending on the month you pay and the year of your vehicle. For example, if you pay in February, the discounts are as follows:
– Vehicles from 2016 to 2026: 2 thousand 172 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2011 to 2015: 1,969 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2006 to 2010: 1,816 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2001 to 2005: 1,663 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2000 to 1996: 1,561 pesos.
– 1995 and previous vehicles: 1 thousand 408 pesos.

In March, the discounts are slightly smaller:
– Vehicles from 2016 to 2026: 2 thousand 274 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2011 to 2015: 2 thousand 071 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2006 to 2010: 1,918 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2001 to 2005: 1,765 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2000 to 1996: 1,663 pesos.
– 1995 and previous vehicles: 1,459 pesos.

In April, the discounts are even smaller:
– Vehicles from 2016 to 2026: 2,376 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2011 to 2015: 2 thousand 172 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2006 to 2010: 2 thousand 020 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2001 to 2005: 1,867 pesos.
– Vehicles from 2000 to 1996: 1,765 pesos.
– 1995 and previous vehicles: 1,510 pesos.

As you can see, the discount decreases as time goes on, so if you are looking for significant savings, it is recommended that you do your procedure in February.

The process of vehicular revalidation is fairly simple and only requires the number of car plates. When completing the procedure, you will receive the updated circulation card, the payment certificate, and the digital fiscal voucher (CFDI).

If you have previous debts, you can regularize them under the “Borrón and new” program, available until the end of January 2025. This program will allow you to save money on accumulated charges and start the year up to date.

The revalidation will be available from February to December 31, 2025. However, after April, you will not have any discount or benefit. Therefore, it is essential that you carry out this procedure as soon as possible.

Remember that failing to revalidate can generate surcharges, fines, and legal problems. Additionally, circulating with an overdue circulation card can lead to the immobilization of the vehicle by the authorities.
