Cheteshwar Pujara said: ‘I am scoring 50-60 runs, I will also score a century soon’

The first match of the two-match test series between India and New Zealand will be played in Kanpur from 25 November. Ahead of this test, Team India Vice Captain Cheteshwar Pujara has said that it will soon mark a century. He has also said that becoming Rahul Dravid’s coach will help the team a lot in the Test series.

Pujara said: ‘I’m scoring 50-60 runs so there’s nothing to worry about. The century will also come soon. He also told Captain Rahane that he is just one good inning off his form, he will score good runs in this series.

At a press conference, Pujara said: ‘Today I have seen the pitch. As far as my experience goes, this release is expected to help spinners the most.

Pujara has also praised Rahul Dravid during this period. He has said: ‘I have played cricket with him for a long time. The type of experience he has will be of great help to all the young and old players on the team.

Right after the press conference, Cheteshwar Pujara posted a video on the social media platform’s Ku app saying that Team India is fully prepared for the test series.

Pujara says in this video: ‘We will play the Test series against New Zealand soon. I really wanted to try cricket. This is going to be a very good series. As we know New Zealand is a strong team, playing against them will not be that easy. Most of the New Zealand cricketers have been playing IPL in India and have good experience in Indian conditions. But we also started preparing a long time ago. We completed our training session in Mumbai. We are working very hard for the next series. We are all very excited and look forward to the challenges that lie ahead. We are completely ready. Just support us. I see them soon.’
