OpenAI has introduced a new way for users to interact with ChatGPT, allowing them to chat and make calls with the chatbot directly on WhatsApp. To access this feature, users need to save the contact number 1-800-242-8478 in their phonebook or on WhatsApp.
How to Use ChatGPT on WhatsApp
To start chatting with ChatGPT on WhatsApp, users can initiate a new conversation with the saved contact number. Since the number is from the United States, users in other countries, such as Spain, need to add the prefix +1 to the number for WhatsApp to recognize it.
Once the conversation is started, users can ask ChatGPT questions, request recommendations, or consult data via text input. ChatGPT will respond with text-based answers, providing the requested information in multiple languages, including Spanish.
Phone Calls with ChatGPT
In addition to chatting, OpenAI has also enabled phone calls with ChatGPT using the same contact number, 1-800-242-8478. However, this feature is currently only available to users located in the United States.
Technical Details
The WhatsApp chatbot is powered by the GPT-4 mini model, which is limited to text input. This means that users can only interact with ChatGPT through text messages and cannot send images or audio files.
