The fourth match of the five-match T20 series will be played between India and South Africa in Rajkot. Team India is trailing 1-2 in the series and is facing a do-or-die situation in this match. The biggest challenge for India remains the poor form of captain Rishabh Pant.
In the third match played in Visakhapatnam, India overcame their mistakes and recorded a great victory. But captain Rishabh Pant’s poor form also continued in this match. Rishabh Pant has not played big innings in this series so far.
Pant, however, is such a brilliant hitter that when criticized in any format, he shuts everyone’s mouths with a dazzling tackle and this is his chance in Game 4. The South African bowlers have not allowed him to play the shots he wants by slowing down his bat and often he gets caught deep. They have to overcome this deficiency.
Alongside this, questions have also been raised about Rishabh Pant’s captaincy in the opening matches. Veteran players believe that Rishabh Pant has failed to make the right decisions regarding the use of bowlers on important occasions in this series. In view of claiming the India team captaincy in the future, Rishabh Pant will have to capitalize on this opportunity at all costs.
However, Rishabh Pant takes charge of the India team for the first time. Rishabh Pant was appointed vice-captain for this series. But due to KL Rahul’s injury, Rishabh Pant got the captaincy responsibility.
