Chaco For Ever defeated Sarmiento de Junín this afternoon 6-5 on penalties at the Brigadier Estanislao López Stadium in Santa Fe, and advanced to the round of 32 of the Copa Argentina 2023, where they will meet Rosario Central or Central Norte de Salta .
The match did not deliver much, it was 90 minutes of friction without great work for the goalkeepers of both “Verde” and “Albinegro”. On penalties, for Israel Damonte’s team the experienced Lisandro López, Alejandro Donatti and Javier Toledo started kicking -and converting-. In the fourth, Sergio Quiroga did the same and, in the last of the shootout, Franco Quinteros also scored.
