This Saturday, August 14, an 8-year-old girl died after drowning in one of the basins of the Cergy-Pontoise leisure island, located in Neuville-sur-Oise (Val d’Oise).

Rescuers tried to resuscitate her but in vain, it was too late for the little girl who had been submerged underwater for too long. Completely upset and shocked, the five members of his family present were transported in relative emergency to the Pontoise hospital.
Due to the strong heat that was felt this weekend, attendance was particularly high on the leisure island of Cergy-Pontoise. No less than 5,000 people were identified this Saturday. Ten lifeguards, thirteen security guards and four mediation officers were present to supervise the various activities of the complex.
