Cattle thieves kill 11 people in Kenya

In the African country of Kenya, cattle rustlers have killed 11 people, including police officers.

According to foreign media, cattle thieves have killed 11 people, including 9 police officers, in Turkana County, Kenya.

The police had launched an operation against the accused to stop the increasing incidents of cattle theft, on which the cattle thieves ambushed and killed 11 people.

Kenyan police say the operation was aimed at arresting criminals and recovering stolen animals.

The police have appealed to the public to provide the police with any information that may help in arresting the gang.

It should be noted that due to the drought in Kenya, people are facing food shortages and clashes over livestock and water are common in the region.

In November 2012, more than 40 police officers were killed in Kenya while chasing a gang of animal thieves.

In August 2019, 12 civilians, including 3 children, were killed in an attack by cattle rustlers in Borona, Northern Kenya.
