It already has a date and place for the revenge between Brian Castaño and Jermell Charlo: they will fight on Saturday, March 19 in a stadium to be designated in the city of Los Angeles and as in the first occasion, the four versions of the super welterweight world title will be at stake. Charlo will expose the crowns of the Association, the Council and the Federation while Castaño, the only world champion that Argentine boxing currently has, will defend the Organization’s championship.

Sebastián Contursi, Castaño’s manager, agreed to move the venue of the fight with Al Haymon, the powerful rap music producer who manages the campaign for both the La Matanza fighter and Charlo. As recalled, The first version took place on July 17 at the At&T Center in San Antonio (Texas) and ended with a controversial draw ruling that was detrimental to Castaño. To avoid localism, since Charlo lives in Houston, one of the main cities in the state of Texas, the rematch will take place in a Los Angeles location that could be the Inglewood Forum or the Arena (former Staples Center).

Initially, Premier Boxing Champions, Haymon’s company, had scheduled the fight for February 26 in Houston (Texas), but Castaño flatly refused.. “It’s going to Charlo’s house. I feel like they want to rush me,” complained the Argentine who also asked to have eight weeks of training before going back into the ring. Both requests were granted after which the new date was made official.

Castaño has already started his physical preparation in California under the orders of Professor Matías Erbin and awaits the arrival of his father Carlos to begin the technical set-up for the direct retaliation approved by the four entities. Castaño has an undefeated record of 17 wins (12 before the limit) and two draws against Cuban Erislandy Lara and Charlo himself, who will reach the rematch on March 19 with a record of 34 wins (18 out of combat), one loss and one draw.
