Cash Converters launches a line of recycled gold jewelry

Cash Converters, an Australian company for the sale of second hand, has launched a new line of jewelry made from 100% recycled gold. It is known as Jewelry with Consciousness and it has been created in Spain. The goal of this is to promote sustainability.

“By reusing gold and silver we avoid the extraction of precious metals and stones”, it states Carmen Junquera, Trade Marketing Manager at Cash Converters, on the official website of Cash Converters.

It was in 2020 when they began to reuse the materials to make jewelry, such as bracelets, rings, necklaces and pendants up to 18 carats. How do they do it? Very simple, they melt old jewels that are no longer used to create new ones with a higher quality. “The goal is to stay in the economy for as long as possible”, it states Carmen Junquera.

Cash Converters and their fight for a more sustainable world

Cash Converters carried out last June a sustainable phenomenon known as #MovimientoConverters. The company developed this idea to decrease and eliminate overproduction, unlimited consumption and the impact of customers’ purchasing decisions on the environment. By doing this, the company aims to reduce the environmental footprint. They managed to give a second life to a total of 490 kilos of materials.

What is most attractive to customers is not that you are fighting for a more sustainable world but that the sale of second-hand these jewels is an even a 60% cheaper than models made with new materials.
