This summer at “La Casa” it will rumble again with the best music in the world, with the presentation of “Santo Domingo Jazz Festival Casa de Teatro 2023”, in its twenty-third installment, where every Thursday in the months of June and July jazz will be invading the hearts of its public.
“We are happy to return with this musical and traditional event of Casa de Teatro,” said Freddy Ginebra, organizer of the event.
This year the “Santo Domingo Jazz Festival of Casa de Teatro 2023” begins on Thursday, June 1 with “Fede Méndez Jazz combo (ft Amanda Sánchez).
Next Thursday, June 8, it will continue with the Javier Robiu/ Oscar Micheli Trío, and the guest artist José Luis Gutiérrez.
Thursday the 15th is for Patricio Bonilla and his Latin Projet, Andrien Brandeis Quartet will play on Thursday June 22 and on the 29th it is Manerra and his band’s turn.
On Thursdays in July, “Santo Domingo Jazz Festival 2023” will continue at Casa de Teatro with the Sebastián Murena Trío, on Thursday the 13th Jazz Night will be presented, on Thursday the 20th it will be the turn of the Jhon Martez Quintet Esencia and on July 27 the Simón Bolívar Jazz big will close band.
The information was offered during an emotional press meeting where “El Duende”, as Freddy Ginebra is known, recalled that next year Casa de Teatro celebrates 59 years and how he created a cultural place where he has created happiness and dreams come true.
“Santo Domingo Jazz Festival” was born in 2000, to support the development of Dominican groups, promoting this musical genre at affordable prices.
It has also served as a springboard for other managers to engage in this type of event, and thus, among many, expand the discovery and development of new national and international talents”, is stated in a press release.
