‘Carrier’ actress Samantha Weinstein dies of cancer at 28

Canadian actress Samantha Weinsteinwho participated in the remake of the 2013 film “Carrier” starring Chloë Grace Moretz, died of cancer at age 28 after being diagnosed in 2021 with a type of ovarian cancer.

Samantha’s family released the news through her Instagram account, where they stated that the artist died “surrounded by her loved ones at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.”

“After two and a half years of cancer treatment and a lifetime in high society around the world, giving voice to a host of cartoon animals, making music and knowing more about life than most people will never know, is embarking on his next adventure,” the statement quoted.

Samantha began her career as a child actress in 2003 with the series “The Red Green Show.” Then, he continued in series like “The Winning Season” (2004), “Wild Card” (2005), “The Border” (2008), “Less Than Kind” (2010, “Alias ​​Grace” (2018) and “Burden of Truth” (2020).

In the cinema, Samantha participated in “Jesus Henry Christ” (2011) and played Heather in “Carrie”.

Last year, Samantha came out as non-binary and spoke about her husband Michael Knutson, who survives her and called “my best friend, my partner in crime and the love of my life.”

He is also survived by his parents David and Jojo Weinstein, and his sister Sabrina Weinstein.
