Carrefour has announced that it is testing a subscription program with Netflix. As French newspaper Le Parisien reports, customers in the Bordeaux and Rouen regions will be able to take out a subscription from Tuesday, January 16th a subscription for 5.99 euros per monththrough which they will have Access to the standard Netflix package with ads (single screen), already a 10% discount on 6,000 products Carrefour's own brand.
Specifically to subscribe “Carrefour Plus”Customers can do this via the Purchasing a gift card in storeand they will receive a flash code that will redirect them to the Carrefour France website, from where they can link an existing Netflix account or create a new one or register directly on the website.
Once the account is activated, Discounts are available upon presentation of the classic customer card in store, in person or in the app. Additionally, Carrefour has introduced two more ad-free plans –Netlix Standard and Premium (Multiscreen)– at a price of 13.49 or 19.99 euros.
For Netflix, as mentioned Laurent Uguen, Commercial Head of Netflix in France, Middle East, Africa and Turkey«The goal is to find new audiences and see if this offer can convince those who were hesitant to sign up.«. Currently, 80% of French households are already subscribed to a streaming platform. On your side, Carrefour will test this format until the end of 2024.
