Amundi Evian Championship: Lindblad Leads with 64 Strokes
The Amundi Evian Championship, the fourth major event on the women’s calendar, has started with a bang. Sweden’s Ingrid Lindblad, who earned her LPGA card at the School last November, has taken the lead with a stunning 64 strokes.
Lindblad, 24, who decided to postpone her professional move to close a glorious college cycle, is one of the three leaders of the event. She has experience in big tournaments, finishing 11th at the 2022 US Open. This is her first appearance at the Evian Championship, courtesy of an invitation.
Tournament Update
The former champions, Lydia Ko and Jyo Joo Kim, finished one stroke behind Lindblad with a 65, along with Mexican Gaby López, Hye-Jin Choi, Lauren Coughlin, and Ayaka Furue. Nelly Korda and Celine Boutier are in 69.
Among the Spanish players, Carlota Ciganda achieved a good result with 70 strokes. Ana Peláez finished at par with 71, Marta Martín started with 72, and Azahara Muñoz signed 73.
