Carlos Sainz Set to Shine in Barcelona

Living in Barcelona will be treated to a thrilling spectacle with the Spanish F1 Grand Prix. For several days, the city’s streets have been abuzz with cars, helmets, and an Aston Martin box featuring a Fernando Alonso car, attracting numerous photo opportunities.

However, this is merely the appetizer to the Barcelona Fan Festival. The main event, the roadshow, will take place tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. on La Rambla, one of Barcelona’s most iconic streets, for the first time in history, with the Grand Prix cars driving through its avenues.

The pilots

The exhibition will feature a stellar lineup, including Carlos Sainz, the pilot of Ferrari, who will be joined by Jack Doohan, the reserve pilot and tester for Alpine, as well as the two great prizes of national motorsports, Pepe Martí, F2 driver, and Mari Boya, from F3. The latter is the son of Mick Doohan, the five-time 500cc World Motorcycle Champion.

The tour

The cars will depart from Ronda Universitat, where the teams’ pits will be set up. From there, they will head north along Paseo de Gracia, stopping at Casa Batlló, before continuing on to Aragó street and then making their way back to the starting point.

Activities at the Fan Forum

After the exhibition, at 7:00 p.m., more activities will begin at the so-called Fan Forum. Participants, including even the CEO of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, will parade across the stage of the Fan Village in Plaza Catalunya.
