Carlos Rodríguez returns in the Dauphiné with his sights set on the Tour

Carlos Rodríguez is already counting the hours to put on a bib again in a cycling race. The Spanish cyclist from Ineos-Grenadiers has been included in the list of seven riders for the British team for the Criterium of the Dauphiné, which will be held from June 4 to 11.

It will be the first race for Rodríguez after the hard fall that he suffered last March in the Strade Bianche and that has slowed his progression in this 2023 season after having finished fourth overall in the Vuelta a Andalucía.

The inclusion of Carlos Rodríguez in the Ineos list for the Dauphiné also sends a message for the presence of the man from Granada in the next Tour de France (July 1-23), since Rodríguez will share a team with Egan Bernal, Ineos leading theorist for the Tour, and Daniel Felipe Martínez; the British Ethan Hayter and Ben Turner as well as the Spanish Jonathan Castroviejo and Omar Fraile.
