It was on June 15 last year that Carlos Alcaraz moved into his residence in Wimbledon, just a few meters from the All England Club, the same one where he won the title last year.
Team Living Together
The tennis player’s home is a three-story, six-roomed house with a basketball court and a large garden, allowing the entire team to live together. Six other individuals share the residence with Alcaraz: his coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero; his agent at IMG, Albert Molina; his physiotherapist, Juanjo Moreno; his brother, Álvaro Alcaraz, who is his sparring partner; his doctor, Juanjo López; and his physical trainer, Alberto Lledó. Lledó and López share a room, while the others all contribute to household chores.
Daily Routine
Alcaraz typically takes the day off and spends time with his family in his residence, where they have all the comforts. They have breakfast and dinner within the four walls of the house, often having lunch at the All England Club. In the evenings, they order food delivery from local restaurants, including an Italian restaurant and a Japanese restaurant in the Wimbledon neighborhood, as well as the Spanish restaurant Cambio de Tercio in the Chelsea neighborhood.
Spanish Flair
Cambio de Tercio owner Abel Lusa caters to professional tennis players, including Alcaraz, and sent a special menu for the occasion, including crispy salmon nigiris with a Spanish flavor, gluten-free for Alcaraz.
Family and Nike Support
Many nights, Alcaraz’s father, Carlos Alcaraz Sr., and his cousin, Tomás Noguera, join the team to spend time together and take evening strolls around the neighborhood. They all wear personalized caps with the logos of two of Alcaraz’s sponsors, Isdin and El Pozo.
Nike’s Support
The top brass from Nike, including senior director of Tennis Rubén Zrihen, who is responsible for Alcaraz’s needs, have been present at the British tournament.
Tournament Updates
Alcaraz has been moved to Court 1 for his quarter-final match against American Tommy Paul, while number 1 Jannik Sinner will also play two matches away from the centre. Novak Djokovic, who is seeking another miracle on the grass, is the only player who has not been moved.
