Carl Pei promises big improvements to Nothing Phone’s camera (2)

The Nothing Phone (2) is already one of the most anticipated releases this summer, mainly because it is the first top of the range from the young company founded by Carl Pei. We already know that this model will arrive with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and that will have a significant impact on its camera.

Who reiterates it is the CEO of Nothing, Carl Pei, through Twitter. Through some publications, the executive explains some of the advantages of adopting this processor and the camera will be one of the most visible for users.

Nothing Phone (2) will have a camera 4000 times more powerful than its predecessor

Looking at the Nothing Phone (2) photo department, Carl Pei has no doubt that it will be impressive. The executive even speaks into a camera that’s on another level compared to his first smartphone.

📸 Next-Level Camera: Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 features an 18-bit Image Signal Processor (ISP) capable of capturing more than 4,000 times more camera data than the ISP used in the phone (1). As a result, the phone’s camera (2) offers advanced features like Raw HDR and 4K 60fps recording.

Thanks to the incorporation of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Nothing Phone (2) will receive functions that its predecessor does not have. According to Pei, we are talking about an image processing processor (ISP) 4000 times higher than the one present in Nothing Phone (1).

Carl Pei confirms that Nothing Phone’s (2) camera will support Raw HDR technology and will be able to record 4K video at 60fps. Features that we did not find in its predecessor, so there will be improvements regardless of the sensors used in the new smartphone.

Faced with reluctance from some fans that Nothing did not go with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Pei says that “sometimes the latest technology comes at a cost, which is not always justified.” Furthermore, he claims that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 has been tested to perfection.

He adds that the level of optimization present in this SoC is enough to provide top-notch performance. In fact, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is still an excellent component, capable of handling all sorts of tasks you can challenge it with.

Regarding the presentation of Nothing Phone (2), we still do not have a specific date for the event. The company has already confirmed that the team will be released in the summer, so it only remains to wait for more information on the subject.
