At the beginning of this week, the volatility in the cryptocurrency market started to increase for a while. However, it has remained very quiet for bitcoin (BTC) and most altcoins in the past 24 hours, although a number of prices are currently rising and it may be the calm before the storm. The total market cap of all crypto has hovered around $1.3 trillion in the past 24 hours.

Ethereum up 1%
Ethereum (ETH) has also seen a significant drop in volatility over the past 24 hours. Outside of a dip to $1,770, the price generally hovered just below $1,800. This morning, ETH breaks through and the price rises to $1,820 at the time of writing. This means that ETH is up 1% today. Meanwhile, the so-called ‘merge’ is getting closer, it was successfully implemented on the Ropsten testnet yesterday evening.

BNB, SHIB, DOGE back at the same price
Binance coin (BNB) took a bit of a rough time last night, briefly dropping to $286, but is recovering to $292 this morning, the same price it was 24 hours ago. Shiba inu (SHIB) plunged to $0.0000105 last night and is currently recovering to $0.00001075 with the price just 0.2% positive. Dogecoin (DOGE) fluctuates between $0.79 and $0.81 and is up 0.3%.
TRX and XRP slightly in the plus
Tron (TRX) is picking up slightly stronger this morning and is up $0.082 0.7%. This is also reflected in avalanche (AVAX) which is currently trading at $24.85, which is 0.9% above its 24 hour mark. Ripple (XRP) comes in at $ 0.404 with which the price is 0.8% in the plus.
DOT, ADA, SOL stronger in the plus
Polkadot (DOT) already started to gain a bit more strongly last night and is currently approaching $9.3 with which the price is already 2.3% in the plus. Cardano (ADA) rose sharply yesterday and dipped less deeply last night. ADA is currently at $0.65 with which the price is 2.9% in the plus. Solana (SOL) is making a big leap at the time of writing. SOL broke through $40 and currently stands at $40.9, up a whopping 5.5%.

Crypto top 100 hardest fallers and risers
The rest of the top 100 crypto has also remained fairly quiet in the past 24 hours. The biggest losers are apecoin (APE), gala (GALA), ecash (XEC), elrond (EGLD) and klaytn (KLAY), but they are still down about 3% today.
On the green side, polygon (MATIC) and kava (KAVA) are 3% in the plus. Theta (THETA) is 5% in the green, ftx (FTT) 6%, chainlink (LINK) 7%, tezos (XTZ) 8% and helium (HNT) even 10%. The big winner today is striking terra luna classic (LUNC), which made a big jump last night and is even up 16%. LUNA 2.0, on the other hand, is 13% down.
