Cardano’s (ADA) development team, Input Output, has created a new light wallet called lace† The development team has indicated that this wallet offers a number of interesting new functionalities. Of course, the main purpose of the wallet is to provide a place where users can manage, store and transfer their cryptocurrencies.
The team also went the extra mile to make the wallet look nice. Lace is designed in such a way that both laymen and experienced investors understand the wallet and can make good use of it.
Functionalities of the Cardano wallet
There are also a number of functionalities designed specifically for interoperability, meaning that users can use different blockchains in addition to Cardano’s only.
The interoperability is the most important part according to the developers, they will soon start implementing other side chains and make the connection with the other blockchains. Lace should eventually become a wallet on which the investor can do everything.
For example, the developers also want to provide the option for investors to store all their non-fungible token (NFT) in one environment, giving them all their digital assets in one place without having to rely on a third party.
Web3 solution at a glance
This light wallet wants to replace all other solutions and ensures that the entire Web3 comes in one place. The goal is also to make Web3 easy for everyone.
So overall, the platform will allow users to store their digital assets such as cryptocurrencies and NFTs in it and users to easily connect decentralized applications (DApps) to make Web3 a little easier again.
All in all, the primary focus of the developers was to design a wallet that can be connected not only to the Cardano network but also to the Ethereum (ETH) network. At the moment everything is still in the test phase, but the project will soon enter the implementation phase.
