The crypto market held up through Christmas, and we even saw some green outliers yesterday. When financial markets reopened after the long weekend, volatility returned. However, that is going in the wrong direction and a large number of crypto coins will receive another major blow. Some prices are even up to 10% down today. Total market capitalization is down 1.8% to $832 billion.

Bitcoin drops 1.2%
Bitcoin (BTC) has been holding between $16,800 and $16,900 since the weekend, but that came to an end yesterday afternoon. The BTC price dipped as low as $16,550 last night. This morning, bitcoin is trying to get a grip on $16,650, but is down 1.2% today.
This year Bitcoin crossed over $100 trillion in cumulative transfer volume, with roughly $105 trillion having been settled on the network in total.
This is a tremendous feat, illustrating how millions around the world have utilized Bitcoin as a global settlement network. pic.twitter.com/AGJw6PrHFg

Ethereum is already down 2%

XRP, cardano, polygon & dogecoin are falling harder
Binance coin (BNB) remarkably held the strongest position in the past 24 hours. That is because the price made a big jump at the end of yesterday afternoon, but with a price of $243, the BNB price is about the same price as 24 hours ago.
Then the red numbers quickly add up. Ripple (XRP) was able to rise sharply on Boxing Day, but fell 3.5% to $0.358 last night.

Polygon (MATIC) is already down 4.1% today, dropping to $0.784. Cardano (ADA) is down 4.7% to USD 0.25, but may appear to be finding support here. However, Dogecoin (DOGE) is once again the biggest loser from the top 10, dropping 5% to $0.071.
📊 Is #Cardano severely undervalued at this point? One or @santimentfeed‘s key community members certainly sees data making this case, such as sharks & whales (holding 100K to 10M $ADA) accumulating aggressively these past 6 weeks. Solana, lido & terra luna classic hardest fallers top 100
In the top 100, however, we find a large series of prices that turn even deeper red. At the top of these falling rates, we find three striking crypto today. For example, solana (SOL) is down 10% to $10.
📉 #Solana is now down 73% in the past 8 weeks. The #FUD is strong toward the once thriving asset, but there appears to be some pretty good justification with development activity coming to a halt. Read our take on what metrics are pointing to for $SOL. 👀 https://t.co/P7AnKYfKYN

Lido (LDO) even drops by 11.5% to $0.95, but terra luna classic (LUNC), which was up 20% yesterday, is today the biggest loser from the top 100. The LUNC price is down 12% today to $0.00016.
