The streets of the Madrid district of Carabanchel will be occupied by numerous runners next June 5, when the second edition of the Carabanchel Half Marathon is held. The test, which will feature the Olympic marathon athlete Dani Mateo as a great ambassador, will debut slight changes in the circuit with respect to the first edition and was presented by Dani Mateo himself, accompanied by Álvaro González, Councilor President of the District of Carabanchel.
The test will start at 9 in the morning from the Puente de Toledo. In it, the athlete from Soria will take advantage of the new approved route to accumulate kilometers for the European Athletics Championships in August in Munich. The race will also distribute a total of 3,000 euros among the runners who remain on the podium, both male and female, as well as for the best athletes.
In addition to the Half Marathon, the competition program includes a seven kilometer Runbow Race and a Kids Mile for cadets, children and fry. Also there will be children’s races at noon with distances adapted for the pre-youngest, youngest and youngest categories.

The new route of the Carabanchel Half Marathon will start and finish, as in the first edition, at the Puente de Toledo, passing through the Rotonda Marqués de Vadillo, Paseo del Quince de Mayo, Calle Iban de Vargas, Avenida del Manzanares (pedestrian zone towards Puente de Toledo), Puente de Toledo, Avenida del Manzanares (pedestrian zone to Puente de Santa Catalina), Avenida del Manzanares (road towards Puente de Toledo), Calle Orgaz, Calle Antonio López, Calle Baleares, Calle Condes de Barcelona, Calle Antonio de Leyva, Vía Lusitana Street, Peseta Avenue, Valle de Boi Street, Casatejada Street, Camino de las Cruces, Joaquín Turina Street, Eugenia de Montijo Street, Patilla Street, Sombra Street, Carabanchel Square, Blasón Street, Calle General Ricardos, Calle de la Oca, Calle Oca, Calle Vía Carpetana, Calle Albentosa, Calle Vía Carpetana, Paseo Ermita del Santo, Crossing Iban de Vargas, Entrance to Madrid Rio, and Avenida del Manzanares to lead back to the Puente d and Toledo.
