Captain Rohit Sharma will be out of Test series, KL Rahul will command the team

The India team has suffered a major setback ahead of the two Test series against Bangladesh. India team captain Rohit Sharma will surely be out of the Test series. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, command of the team will fall to vice-captain KL Rahul. Though the Cricket Board of Control in India has yet to announce Rohit Sharma’s replacement.

In fact, Rohit Sharma’s thumb was injured while playing in the second ODI against Bangladesh on December 7. After this, Rohit Sharma was sent for scouting. Rohit Sharma’s thumb is not broken, but his injury is serious. Due to this injury, Rohit Sharma will not be able to be a part of the Test series apart from the third ODI.

Team India manager Rahul Dravid had already made it clear that Rohit Sharma would not be able to be a part of Team India in the third ODI. Not just this, Rohit Sharma arrived in Mumbai on December 8 and he will take the final decision to return to the field only after consulting the doctors.

But now it has happened that in the absence of Rohit Sharma, the command of Team India will be left in the hands of KL Rahul. BCCI may also announce Rohit Sharma’s replacement in a day or two. Ranji Trophy star Abhimanyu Easwaran is likely to be sent to Bangladesh as Rohit Sharma’s replacement.

BCCI also has to announce two more replacements. The team that was announced earlier for Bangladesh also included the names of Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami. But now the game of these two players is not decided either. Instead of Shami, Sourav Kumar can be given a place in the squad in place of Umran Malik and Ravindra Jadeja.
