Captain Rohit Sharma is in big trouble, Joe Root alone is a heavyweight in India’s entire batting line-up.

IND vs ENG: Team India is in trouble ahead of the third Test against England starting from February 15. Team India’s top flight doesn’t even have the experience of having played 100 Tests. England’s Joe Root seems to outshine all of Team India’s batsmen when it comes to playing Test alone. Among the options available for India’s 11 players in the third Test, Rohit Sharma has the most experience playing Tests. Along with Rohit, Shubman Gill is one such batsman who has played more than 10 Test matches.

India have Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel and KS Bharat options for the third Test. Rohit Sharma has played 56 Test matches so far. Shubman Gill is India’s second most experienced batsman with 22 Tests under his belt. In third place is KS Bharat, who may not be among the eleven players in the third Test. Bharat has experience with 7 tests. Yashasvi Jaiswal has played 6 Test matches so far. Rajat Patidar only had a chance to make his debut in the last game. Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel have not been able to debut for Team India yet.

England’s star batsman Joe Root has played 137 Tests so far. Team India’s entire batting line-up has the experience of having played just 98 matches. The biggest difficulty for Team India is that Virat Kohli is not playing in this series. Virat Kohli has experience in more than 100 Tests. KL Rahul was also ruled out of the third Test due to injury. Rahul has played 50 Test matches for India so far. In such a situation, captain Rohit Sharma will have to take the field with inexperienced batsmen to face England in the third Test.
