India won the first game of the three-game T20 series between India and Ireland by two runs using the Duckworth-Lewis method. Jasprit Bumrah, who captained India, looked very happy after the win. Bumrah spoke about his return after that victory. Bumrah said he’s completed so many sessions at the National Cricket Academy that he doesn’t feel he’s missed anything.
India captain Jasprit Bumrah said after the game: “It felt great, I’ve done so many training sessions at NCA, I didn’t feel like I missed much or did anything new.” Credit goes to the staff, they kept me in a good mood. You don’t think of yourself, you think of others. Actually not too nervous, but very happy.
The Indian captain continued: “There was already some momentum there so we wanted to capitalize on that.” Luckily we won the pitch and it went well. Had some help with the weather here so very happy. With every game you want more. He played well after the crisis, which is to his credit. Even if you win, there are many things you can improve on. Everyone is confident, they are very well prepared. Jasprit Bumrah made a comeback after about 11 months. On his return, he was awarded the Man of the Match title for his brilliant performance in his first international. Bumrah picked up two wickets in 4 overs after enduring just 24 runs.
