Capirossi: “Márquez was right not to run after so many falls”

Word of Legend of MotoGPthat of Loris Capirossias well as delegate of Dorna for the Race Directionabout the turbulent weekend of Marc Márquez in it German GP. There are fans so dimly enlightened, to call them something, that they have suggested on social media that Marc chose not to start the race so as not to spoil his race and victory statistics that he has in sachsenring since he is a pilot MotoGP. For Capirexwho knows motorcycles for a while, the one with repsol honda was right to choose not to go running after suffering in the warm up his fifth fall of the weekend.

“I am very upset by Márquez the situation he is going through. Now he doesn’t have a competitive bike. It’s easy to see, because there is no fast Honda rider. He is not just another champion, he always wants to be in front and cannot be behind. That’s why it always rides 150 percent and it’s easy to make mistakes when you push the bike beyond what it can do. He has a lot of strength and we all know that he doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone, so he has to think about being well and sure that Honda will make a good bike as fast as he can”, he assures ACE the three-time world champion.

More of capirossi about: “For me, he was right with the decision not to start the race after so many falls. It was more of a mental issue than a physical one. This weekend has not been good at all with so much crash. Luckily he only hurt his finger and I hope that in the Netherlands he will be fine and can have a calmer weekend and, if he has a bike to do 10th or 11th, that he finishes 10th or 11th”.

He adds: “Here we are talking about a super champion and he knows 100 percent what he has to do and, as soon as he has a competitive Honda, he will win, as always.” And the Dorna delegate for Race Direction, always linked to safety and working side by side with Tomé on the new circuits, in the Safety Commission, for Michelin and for other things: “If Marc didn’t feel ready, he did well not to go out.”
