The Atlanta Braves announced they have acquired Venezuelan infielder Ehire Adrianza from the Nationals in exchange for outfielder Trey Harris.
To make room for him on the active roster, Atlanta designated infielder Robinson Canó for assignment. The Dominican batted 4-for-26 (.154) in nine games for the Braves, with a double and a run scored. Between the Mets, Padres and Braves this year, Canó has hit .150/.183/.190 in 33 games and 104 times at bat, with one home run, four RBIs and 25 strikeouts.
For his part, Adrianza is hitting .179 in 84 official at-bats with the Nationals in 2022, with a pair of doubles and seven RBIs.
