“A violent stabbing attack in front of the central police station”

“Municipal and national law enforcement agencies are regularly confronted with individuals who endanger everyone’s security, break public order and degrade the living environment,” responded David Lisnard. To receive and greet the police officers is to highlight and honor their actions and their commitment to fight against insecurity and incivism, protect populations and strengthen the feeling of belonging to the community ”.

In addition, the mayor of Cannes also wished to involve in this ceremony, the national police who suffered, a few days ago, a violent stabbing attack in front of the central police station.

Since 2017, 4,047 arrests have been made by the municipal police, i.e. more than two arrests per day. In addition, the city has no less than 732 cameras, or 1 camera per 102 inhabitants.
