Get ready, “Call My Agent!” fans! After nearly five years since its last season aired, the beloved series is officially making a comeback. Fanny Herrero, who co-created the show, shared some exciting news with Deadline. She confirmed that the script for a new film is all finished.
“The writing is complete,” Herrero shared. “So now, yes, it’s on its way.” This announcement is a huge relief for many who have waited patiently. For a long time, it seemed like the project might not happen. Getting all the actors together was a real puzzle. The show, originally from France Télévisions, became a massive hit. This made the cast’s schedules incredibly busy. But now, everything is set. Production is expected to begin this year, with a release eyed for 2026.
The ASK Team Is Back
Fans will be thrilled to hear that the entire core cast is expected to return. This includes Camille Cottin, Thibault de Montalembert, Grégory Montel, Liliane Rovère, Fanny Sidney, Laure Calamy, and Nicolas Maury. Fanny Herrero, who had left the series after season three, has returned to write the script. She clearly feels a strong connection to the show’s stars.
“I am so happy to write for them again,” Herrero said. “They are incredibly inspiring. Meeting again after almost five years is a true joy.” Her words highlight the special bond within the team, making this reunion even more heartfelt.
Not a Season Five, But a Standalone Movie
Since 2020, there’s been a lot of guesswork about what’s next for “Call My Agent!” Some even thought a fifth season was in the works. However, Deadline reports that a new season is no longer planned. Instead, the project is a standalone television film. It’s designed more for TV screens than for the big cinema. Liliane Rovère had hinted at this a few months ago when speaking with Allociné.
“Yes, there will be a film – or rather a one-off, a term I don’t like,” Rovère explained. “It’s not a series, it’s like a denser episode. Filming should take place in October-November. I really like what has been written.” This gives fans a clearer idea of what to expect: a longer, more detailed story than a typical episode. Earlier ideas from 2022, proposed by Nicolas Mercier, about sending Andrea (Camille Cottin) to New York, seem to have been put aside.
A Creator’s Return Home
After leaving “Call My Agent!”, Fanny Herrero ventured into new projects. She created “Drôle” for Netflix, a show about the stand-up comedy world. However, “Drôle” was canceled after just one season. Now, Herrero is back with her original team. She’s returning to a public that has eagerly awaited more behind-the-scenes drama from the ASK talent agency.
The beloved “Call My Agent!” family is gearing up for its big comeback in 2026. Fans are already marking their calendars.
