- 25% on certain goods from Mexico and Canada
- Up to 145% on Chinese imports
- 25% on foreign-made vehicles
- 10% on general imports
The White House defends the tariffs, saying they will balance international trade and protect American industries. Spokesperson Kush Desai criticized Newsom for not focusing on issues like crime and homelessness.
