Cádiz attacks Betis to strengthen its offensive

El Cádiz pesca en el Betis para reforzar su ofensiva

In a surprising turn of events, striker Juan Miguel Jiménez, known as Juanmi, returns to LaLiga for the second half of the season. Betis have decided to terminate the loan deal with Saudi Arabia's Al-Riyadh, who Juanmi joined in August last year.

The 30-year-old will be loaned out to Cádiz to help the Andalusian side in their fight to stay out of the relegation zone.

A reinforcement not to get relegated

Juanmi had a dark experience in Al-Riyadh. In 17 games, the striker only managed to score one goal and provide two assists. Given this performance, Betis made the decision to bring the player back to strengthen Cádiz in the second half of the season. Juanmi hopes to change the team's course in the standings and will bring his experience and scoring skills to the yellow team.

The attacker moved from Real Sociedad to Betis in the summer of 2019. During his four seasons with the green and white club, the striker from Malaga took part in 101 official games and left a lasting impression with 29 goals and 6 assists.

Although Arab government approval for the operation is still pending, Juanmi is expected to come to Cadiz on loan with no option to buy. With this news confirmed, Cádiz fans are eagerly awaiting the veteran striker's contribution in the fight to remain in the top flight of Spanish football.
