Brazilian esports team Imperial secured its progression to the second phase of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, offering a glimmer of success after fellow national team Fluxo was eliminated from the Counter-Strike 2 tournament earlier the same day.
Imperial defeated North American squad NRG with a decisive 2-0 victory on Thursday, November 27. The matches saw Imperial dominate, taking Nuke 13-8 and Train 13-5.
This win ensures Imperial joins MIBR as confirmed Brazilian participants in the upcoming stage of the global competition.

Meanwhile, fellow Brazilian team Fluxo faced elimination after a 2-1 loss to FaZe. This followed the earlier exit of another Brazilian contender, RED Canids, from the same event.
The decisive matches on November 27 marked the conclusion of the first phase of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.
Other teams advancing from this initial stage include FlyQuest and M80, both undefeated in their series. Ninjas in Pyjamas, B8, and fnatic also moved forward despite one loss each. FaZe secured its spot with a 3-2 record.
Imperial is scheduled to compete again in the second phase on November 29.
