Bronny James, son of LeBron, shone at the Nike Hoop Summit

He Nike Hoop Summit brings together the best basketball talent in adolescents under 18 years of age and this year the Team USA defeated Team World 90-84but the news was Bronny James.

James’ eldest son was not part of the starting five, but he took the court with 6:55 left in the first quarter. His first basket fell a minute later after attacking the rim and leaving a cross layup under the basket. Bronny finished the 2023 Nike Hoop Summit with 11 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal after 21:19. on the stave of the Moda Center.

With the game on the line, James put in an excellent backboard block on a layup by Andrej Stojakovic. After that, the forward put the score at 90-84 with two successful free throws. This match represented James’ debut with a USA Basketball team.

In addition to Bronny, five other Team USA players scored in double figures: ronald holland (15 sts, 9 rbs, 6 stl, 5 ast), Isaiah Collier (11 points), Justin Edwards (10 pts, 5 rbs), dajuan wagner (10 pts, 4 rbs) and Jared McCain (10 pts, 4 rbs).

Mackenzie Mgbako was the basketball player with the most points scored as he added 22 of Team World’s total points. The Nigerian showed off his footwork in the paint and attacking the rim constantly led him to the free throw line (8/10). Andrej Stojakovic, son of Peja Stojakovic, added 12 points for the rest of the world along with four rebounds.
