Protests against the arrest of former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan from the Islamabad High Court are ongoing inside the country, but protests have also been held in America, Britain, Australia, Canada and France.
Demonstrations were also held in America against the arrest of Imran Khan. PTI activists staged a protest at Times Square in New York, while a protest was held outside the Pakistani consulate in Houston. The protesters held up placards to express solidarity with the party chairman and demanded his immediate release.
A protest was held outside the Pakistani High Commission in London, apart from PTI workers protesting outside Nawaz Sharif’s Avenfield residence which continued for several hours despite the rain.
The European Union foreign affairs spokesperson said in a statement that the European Union emphasizes that patience is needed in such a difficult and tense time, only Pakistanis can deal with the challenges facing Pakistan.
The EU said the challenges could be tackled through sincere dialogue and the rule of law.
