London: The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has made a big announcement against money laundering.
According to a report by the British Broadcasting Corporation, the British government has decided to amend the Economic Crimes Bill. The decision follows accusations that Russia’s aristocracy has slowed sanctions. The amendment bill was drafted under the auspices of the European Union and the United States.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said in a statement that money launderers will have no place to hide in the UK, adding that the measures would increase pressure on the criminal elite to try to launder money on British soil.
Boris Johnson said Britain, along with its allies, would continue to do everything possible to put tremendous pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin, until the aggression was stopped.
The British Prime Minister said that the world is turning away from Putin and his government.
I’ve been lost in admiration by the way in which the British public has responded to the brutal Russian invasion of Ukraine.
From community groups to sports clubs and businesses, everyone in the UK has been united in their support for the Ukrainian people. pic.twitter.com/gzj0Wtb6W6
