British PM’s conditional offer of millions of dollars to the Taliban

LONDON: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has made a conditional offer to restore the Taliban’s frozen assets.

According to ARY News, the changing situation in Afghanistan was discussed between the world’s largest economies G7, China, Russia, German Chancellor and British Prime Minister, in which new developments were discussed in detail.

“We are ready to work with the international community in Afghanistan,” Putin said, adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin had assured him that the situation in Afghanistan was “closely monitored.”

The German Chancellor urged the G7 countries to continue negotiating with the Taliban until the interests of the Afghan people are met and not to enter into any unconditional agreement with them.

The German Chancellor said that there should be no unconditional agreement with the Taliban. In addition, the British Prime Minister made a conditional offer to the Taliban to restore frozen assets and gain access to millions of dollars.

“The Taliban must accept our demands,” Johnson said. Reiterating his demands, he said, “Let the Taliban allow girls education, ensure the prevention of terrorism from their land.”

Boris Johnson said that if the Taliban complied with these demands, they would be given access to the millions of dollars frozen by the world powers.
